Intanto colgo l'occasione per fare una domanda, è normale che tipo gparted non mi lasci modificare partizioni zfs?
eh si, è normale non è supportato nativamente da gnu/linux, certo puoi installare i vari pacchetti per la compatibilità

, meglio usare ufs (se vuoi fare velocemente elimina la partizione direttamente dalla live del sistema *bsd che vuoi installare),

Ok, riuscita ad aggiungere la voce a grub, ma purtroppo schermo nero. Ma se la partizione ufs è /dev/sda11 in grub devo mettere hd0,11 giusto?

Questa è la mia situazione, sdb, dove non c'è freebsd e dove non dovrebbe risiedere il grub, è in dos causa refuso rimasto dall'aver spostato l'ssd da un vecchio portatile con bios. Però gentoo è installato la e non mi crea problemi

Provato...non mi da più schermo nero, ora esce scritto "error: invalid EFI file path. Press any key to continue..." e se lo premo torna al grub :eek:

ammetto che ora sto andando a tentativi, inserisci i insmod (sia quello di ufs e sia quello di gpt), al massimo poi provi come suggerito dalla wiki di arch
 
prova a metterli su linee separate, ora io sto uscendo, ma intanto se non risolvi prova a chiedere nella irc di freebsd, sicuramente sapranno consigliarti meglio di me
Ok avevo fatto una stupidata, modificavo il grub.cfg invece del file in etc grub.d, comunque con entrambi stesso problema ora provo solo con usf

Cosa consigliata ad inizio discussione

Il grub si installa sul disco non sul sistema operativo, quindi hai un solo grub

su questo non ti so dire, vai a tentativi, con me quella stringa per grub.cfg, su una tabella partizioni mbr in dual boot con gentoo funge

Ok, installando refind, riesco ad entrare in freebsd, ma non riesco ad installare niente in quanto non mi funge ne su ne sudo. vorrei reinstallare anche perché non so se ho creato un utente root
