Private Servers Toplists Rules

Official guidelines to promote your private server on Inforge. Reading and respecting these rules is mandatory to ensure a fair and transparent environment.

Thread title rules

The title must be clear and not misleading. Follow these rules to avoid edits by the Staff.

It is forbidden to use click-bait or unverifiable descriptions.

It is forbidden to use vague promotional terms (e.g., "new events", "many systems", "revolutionary system"). Allowed: A simple list of specific features (e.g., "5 Pets", "Sash System", "OX Event").

It is forbidden to include the main category (e.g., Old, New, Fun-PvP) as there is already a specific prefix for it. Allowed: Adding sub-categories to better define the server (e.g., "Semi-Old").

It is mandatory to include the official name of the server.

It is forbidden to announce reward events (real or in-game) in the title. Allowed: Announcing the start of an ongoing event (e.g., "Christmas Event Started"). The announcement must be removed when it ends, except for fixed cyclical events.

Provocations or comparisons with other private servers are forbidden (e.g., "Better than Server-X").

Mandatory requirements for publication

To be approved and kept in the list, every server must meet the following criteria.

Backlink to Inforge

It is mandatory to permanently insert the Inforge logo (linking to your thread) in the footer or header of your official website.

Published by official staff

The thread must be created by the Founder or a Game Master. If using a promoter, you must specify the Inforge account of an official staff member.

Intellectual property

It is forbidden to use the logo, graphics, or presentation of another active server. Reusing material from a closed server is only allowed if you were the original direct owner.

Prohibitions on reviews and contests

The integrity of feedback is fundamental. The following manipulative practices are strictly prohibited.

Rewarded reviews

It is forbidden to offer any kind of reward in exchange for reviews (new or edited). Comments must reflect a genuine opinion. Violations will result in penalties for the server and the users involved.

Manipulative external contests

It is forbidden to create contests on external platforms (e.g., Discord) requiring users to perform specific actions on Inforge threads to win. You are only allowed to remind or invite players to leave feedback, without associated prizes.

Publication frequency

To avoid saturating the lists, we have introduced time limits for publishing new projects.

New server publication limit

The same user and/or staff can create only one new thread every 3 months.

This limit applies to any new thread: main server, reopening, or secondary server. Bypassing this rule through third-party accounts will lead to penalties.

The "Speed Server" mode

The "Speed Server" feature can be activated within an already existing thread (every 3 months).

Since this practice does not require opening a new thread, it does not count towards the general rule described alongside.

How the approval process works

From creation to public visibility: here are the timings for your thread's approval.

1. Submission to queue

Once created, the thread automatically goes into the approval queue and is not immediately visible to the public.

2. Requirements check

The Staff checks that the rules are followed, specifically verifying the presence of the backlink on the website and the opening date.

3. Scheduled approval

If compliant, the thread is made public based on the list:
• Italian Lists: 24 hours before the opening.
• International Lists: 14 days before the opening.

Note on timings

The Staff is made up of volunteers: technical times to take charge and manage a thread vary from 24 to 48 hours. These rules are in addition to the Terms of Use and the General Rules, which remain valid.

What you can do while waiting

Automatically reward players when they vote for your server to increase turnout from day one.

Vote4Buff integration

We offer administrators the ability to connect Inforge to their server's database via the Vote4Buff system. This tool allows you to automatically reward players in-game as soon as they vote for your project in our monthly ranking, encouraging constant and real traffic to your thread.
